Based in the North West of England, The Jeff Buckley Experience is the UK’s only dedicated tribute to one of the most gifted and influential artists of our time. Formed by professional musicians with over 25 years of live performance experience each, the band was born from a deep passion for keeping Buckley’s music alive on stage.
More than just a tribute act, The Jeff Buckley Experience captures the power, vulnerability, and artistry that made Jeff so unique. From the soaring drama of “Grace” and “Dream Brother” to the intimate beauty of “Lover, You Should’ve Come Over” and “Hallelujah”, the band recreates the emotional intensity of Buckley’s legendary performances with authenticity and heart.

Meet The Band
David McNamara – Vocalist & Guitarist
With 25 years of professional experience, David McNamara is a versatile vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and producer. His career spans festivals, weddings, cruise ships, and corporate performances, alongside his role as a full-time music lecturer, inspiring the next generation of artists.
Some of David’s original music highlights include releases through Sony BMG, songs produced by Jim Lowe (Stereophonics, Foo Fighters), and music successfully synced for television. He has supported acts (to name a few) such as Robert Plant, Reverend and The Makers, The Hoosiers, Rick Witter (Shed 7), Chris Helme (The Seahorses), The Bluetones, The Towers of London, and many more.
With qualifications in Performing Arts and Jazz Studies (Leeds College of Music), David combines academic depth with extensive real-world performance experience.

Wayne Morgan – Bass Guitarist
Wayne Morgan is a world-class bass guitarist with over 25 years of international touring and recording experience. He has performed alongside Grammy Award-winning legends including The Three Degrees, Starsailor, Tavares, Freda Payne, The Crystals, The Drifters, George McCrae, Pele, Ian Prowse, China Crisis, Amsterdam, Linda Lewis, to name just a few.
As a composer, producer, and multi instrumentalist, Wayne is fluent in styles ranging from funk and jazz to indie, alternative, soul, and beyond. His wealth of experience and professional musicianship make him a sought-after performer, equally at home on global stages and in the studio.
Alen Newtron – Guitarist
Alen Newtron has been playing guitar for over 25 years, performing in numerous cover bands and live projects across a wide range of styles. Known for his attention to detail, Alen is dedicated to capturing the authentic guitar sounds and intricate parts that define the music he plays.
A true guitar enthusiast, Alen is a collector and self-confessed guitar nut, constantly exploring tones, textures, and techniques. His deep passion for the music of Jeff Buckley shines through in his playing, embracing the atmospheric qualities and emotional depth of Buckley’s sound. On stage, Alen is a passionate and expressive performer, bringing intensity and authenticity to every show.


Chris Brown – Drums & Multi-Instrumentalist
Chris Brown is a highly experienced drummer, performer, and educator with over 30 years in the music industry. He began his career as the original drummer for Rick Astley, contributing to the beginnings of the global hit “Never Gonna Give You Up.”
Since then, Chris has built a varied career performing at festivals, weddings, and corporate events, working across multiple bands and projects. A skilled multi-instrumentalist, he brings versatility and depth to every performance, with a strong sense of groove and stage presence.
Chris has a deep passion for the music of Jeff Buckley, bringing a free-flowing, expressive drumming style that draws on the openness of jazz while remaining rooted in Buckley’s emotional intensity.
